Soul Brasil – version 1.0

There’s a whole lot more to Brazilian music than Samba and Bossa Nova and we’re going to cover the entire spectrum of Brazilian sounds with the Cultural Cannibals blog. One area of particular interest will be Brazilian Soul. Brazil has a rich history of Funk, Soul and R&B dating back to the mid 60’s. Each week we’re gonna spotlight a different Brazilian banger from the past or present.

This week it’s 3 Na Massa, a trio based out of São Paulo comprised of two members from Nação Zumbi and the producer of Instituto. Enladeirada, featuring singer Thalma de Freita, is from their recently released debut LP on Nublu Records.
