Festa Junina – Brazilian Night at the Jazz Kitchen, Saturday, June 5

Last year Cultural Cannibals brought to Indianapolis the first Festa Junina (June Festival) party. It was so successful that we’re bringing it back this year. We’ll be featuring nationally acclaimed D.J. Kyle Long presenting a mix of Brazilian rhythms associated with the festival. Saturday June 5th, from 10pm to 3am at The Jazz Kitchen, 5377 N. College Ave, Indianapolis, IN, 46220. Admission is $8 at the door, student discount $5 with valid ID. Free admission with the purchase of a Cultural Cannibals shirt available at http://www.culturalcannibals.com.

After Carnaval, Festa Junina is the most widely celebrated festival in Brazil. In the Northeast region, where many of festivities originated, it is even more celebrated than Carnaval.

Everyone is invited to come experience the excitement of Festa Junina by joining us in this evening of music and dance. Quentão, the traditional Festa Junina drink will be available, as well as Caipirinhas and Brazilian beer.
